Students enrolled at a college or university in Rhode Island and Rhode Island residents who are currently enrolled or will be enrolled in the next school year at any college or university can participate in RISLA's Knowledge for College Scholarship.

Entering consecutively every month, September through May, qualifies participants who have not previously won during the same school year for a bonus drawing held on/after June 1st.

Student is a Rhode Island resident or student from any state attending a college or university in Rhode Island and is accepted for and provides validation of enrollment at a nationally accredited university or postsecondary proprietary school when the scholarship is awarded.
Students are encouraged to enter once monthly, increasing their chances to win in the future, but may only win once per academic year.
RISLA employees and their family members are not eligible for the scholarship.
Students must register and submit answers to three financial literacy questions.
Each month, registrations are limited to one per person, with the four winners chosen using a random number generator. The bonus winners are similarly selected, with the registrations limited to registrants who entered each month from September through May.
All winners are notified via email.
To be eligible for the $2,000 Knowledge for College Scholarship, one must meet one (1) of the two (2) following eligibility requirements at the time of entry and must register and submit answers to three financial literacy questions. Winners must also provide proof of enrollment once available.
1. The student is enrolled or intends to enroll in any accredited college or university in the upcoming school year and is a Rhode Island resident.
