Four registrants are randomly selected on the first business day of each month.
Winners must provide proof of enrollment. Once enrollment is confirmed, checks are made co-payable to the winner and the winner’s school. Checks are sent out later in the month for students in college or in June for high school students (allowing time to make changes to their college of choice).
Winners are requested to have their first name, last initial, and city/town of residence identified on the winners’ section of the scholarship web page (See below for winners!)
Only the winners are notified of the $2,000 Scholarship. If you do not win this month, try again next month!
*Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entrants.

RISLA continues to help students pay for college expense. Every year RISLA awards (50) $2,000 individual scholarships totaling $100,000 each academic year!
Student is a Rhode Island resident or student from any state attending a college or university in Rhode Island; and is accepted for and provides validation of enrollment at nationally accredited 2-year or 4-year, university, or postsecondary proprietary school when the scholarship is awarded.
Students must register and submit answers to three financial literacy questions.
Students are encouraged to enter once per month, increasing their chances to win in the future, but may only win once per academic year.
RISLA employees and their family members are not eligible for the scholarship.
Entering consecutively every month, September through May, qualifies participants that have not previously won during the same school year for a bonus drawing held on/after June 1st.
Two eligible bonus drawing winners will each receive a $2,000 scholarship.
They each received a $2,000 scholarship to help pay for college expenses while reducing the amount they need to borrow. If you are eligible, register to win!
